Upon graduating from St. Vincent's College in 1997, Vicky started her nursing career as a Hemodialysis Registered Nurse. She continued working in this field for 7 years as a staff nurse and charge nurse, until she became intrigued by the benefits her mother gained after having weight-loss surgery. In 2004, Vicky accepted a new position at St. Vincent's Medical Center as the Bariatric Coordinator. She was ready to face the new challenges ahead and accept the responsibility of helping this program succeed. Vicky has always enjoyed working with people who are struggling with any illness, except she has found a greater reward working with the obese population since she can see the positive results that occur during the quest to improve their health and lifestyles after weight loss surgery. She feels extremely fortunate to work with top-notch surgeons and a great multidisciplinary team at the Bariatric Surgery Center.

Vicky's role is to ensure that the Bariatric Program operates smoothly and safely. She attends the Bariatric Informational Seminars, organizes post-operative support groups and classes; and is responsible for providing information and education to the patients and the staff. Vicky is also available to help the patient organize their pre-operative appointments and answer questions related to their care and treatment.
