Ehrlich, M.D., FACS
Director of Bariatric Surgery (St. Vincent's Medical Center)
Dr. Timothy B. Ehrlich is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Louisiana State University
in Baton Rouge and LSU Medical School in New Orleans. Prior to moving to Connecticut,
he specialized in vascular, thoracic, and laparoscopic surgery. He
has obtained training in advanced laparoscopic surgery through a multitude of graduate courses. He is a local expert in Lap Banding and Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass Surgery.
Besides performing the Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass procedure, Dr. Ehrlich has been trained and supervised by Dr. George Fielding, a pioneer in the Laparoscopic Band procedure. He is a choice provider of the Inamed Company for placement of the Lap-Band® and the Vanguard Band®.
Dr. Ehrlich is certified by the American Board of Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons and The Society of American Gastroendoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Ehrlich was awarded as the major fundraiser for the 2005 Fairfield County ADA walkathon. He is currently licensed in Connecticut.
Dr. Ehrlich was a key developer of Fairfield County Bariatrics. He established the St. Vincent's Bariatric Surgery program and is currently the Director of Bariatric Surgery at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He is an expert lecturer on laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication and laparoscopic bariatric surgery. At Fairfield County Bariatrics, Dr. Ehrlich has performed nearly 500 laparoscopic bariatric procedures. Recently, Dr. Ehrlich was selected to be part of the Council for the Advancement of Bariatrics (CAB), a think tank sponsored by Allergan regarding the Lap Band®. Dr. Ehrlich has performed more Lap Bands® than any other surgeon in the state of Connecticut.
