Grocery Shopping List

STAGE I Shopping List
  • Light clear juice: apple, white grape, or cranberry juice
  • Plain sugar-free gelatin with no fruit pieces
  • Sugar-free Popsicles or ices
  • Fat-free chicken, beef, or veggie broth
  • Decaf tea or herb tea
  • No-calorie flavored drinks
  • Non-carbonated bottled water or tap waters
  • Isopure protein zero carb® beverage (Found at Vitamin Stores)
STAGE II Shopping List
  • All foods and drinks from previous stage
  • Skim, soy, Simply Smart®, or 1 % milk
  • Plain non-fat or light yogurt without fruit pieces
  • No sugar-added Carnation Instant Breakfast® drink
  • Sugar substitute
  • No sugar-added applesauce
  • Unflavored protein powder
STAGE III Shopping List
  • All foods and drinks from previous stages
  • Eggs (scrambled)
  • Chicken or turkey pureed or stage I baby foods
  • Fish (pureed)
  • Canned tuna or canned chicken, water-packed (pureed)
  • Pureed fat-free or low-fat cottage cheese
  • Potato (mashed, without skin or butter) or instant mashed potatoes without butter
  • Pureed Tofu and other soy products
  • Pureed Banana, canned peaches, or canned pears
  • Pureed canned carrots, beets, skinless squash, or skinless potatoes
STAGE IV Shopping List
  • All foods and drinks from previous stages
  • Chicken or turkey, 90% lean (to be finely ground)
  • Fish (baked, grilled, or poached)
  • Peeled and well-cooked, non-gassy vegetables: green beans, carrots, spinach, beets, zucchini, asparagus tips, mushrooms, tomatoes, and squash

  • Lean turkey, chicken, or luncheon meats
  • Fish
  • Cooked vegetables
